GrandFireT | On December 18 Aunt Anomalia started a thread on Similar Tastes in Music. I didn't want to butt in, though my question relates to AA's. Maybe some of you can offer your thoughts to my question: which Venus will most likely be moved or touched by the following song, and why? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SFbA9wxD67o Bring your Kleenex, Ladies. It's a beautiful song but somewhat sad. Great accompaniment and routine. Thanks, look forward to your comments. |
GrandFireT | Incidentally, the lead singer, Russell Thompkins, Jr. has Sun in Aires. At various times the group had Libra, Aquarius, Taurus and Gemini members. I believe in the above number, you are looking at (right to left) Thompkins, Herb Murrell (Taurus), James Dunn (Aquarius) and Airrion Love (Libra). |
Sylven | Wow, is this a joke? I don't get it. I don't think it's sad at all!! (Venus in Leo) |
Faith | Sag Venus I like the lyrics but not the presentation. |
Ceridwen | Hmm, it`s a nice song, the melody at least. Don`t really like the vocals or presentation though. It`s slightly sentimental, but doesn`t quite touch me to be honest. It`s too smooth for that to happen, maybe I am just in the mood for more "raw emotionalism", don`t know. It IS a nice song though. Venus in Capricorn square Pluto here.

GrandFireT | Generational differences here, no doubt. Faith, are you posting Sag Venus as your personal identity, or as your answer to my question? |
thingsgoneby | Venus in Taurus and I agree there may be generational differences. No kleenex needed for this song. Below are the few songs that have moved me to tears, just from the song alone. All from the same artist. Sorry if I hijacked your thread now, but I thought it could be interesting to see what our Venus's find moving |
GrandFireT | No apology necessary, Things. I'm glad my Taurus Saturn didn't pull you down into Kleenex country. Or did it?. Where I got the sad note on that Stylistics song is from the idea that the song writer could have been a poor guy who fell in love with a gold-digger and got brushed off for a Donald Trump. Happens. Thanks for your song posts. |

Oops! Sorry... I have Sag Venus. quote: Originally posted by GrandFireT: Where I got the sad note on that Stylistics song is from the idea that the song writer could have been a poor guy who fell in love with a gold-digger and got passed over for a Donald Trump. Happens.
Oh yes, happens to girls, too. |
thingsgoneby | @GrandFireT Maybe that could be a clue, you focused mainly on the lyrics and they were enough to move you, while I (Taurus Venus) maybe need a very heartfelt performance. I don't know. Haha. Interesting post nevertheless |
Voix_de_la_Mer | My guess is Venus in Cancer |
Yin | I have no idea but I found the melody too upbeat. I'm a Sag Venus and a sucker for a good emotional gut-wrenching song. |
